Terms of Service

Last updated 4 August 2026

These terms keep one principle plain: your family's stories remain yours, and ForeverFond is a tool and editor, never their author.

Private beta status

These Terms govern the closed ForeverFond beta. The operator's full legal name, service address and governing-law clause must be published before public acquisition or a first public paid order. Until that gate is complete, access is invitation-only and no public marketing campaign may open sign-ups.

Who may use ForeverFond

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Keep account and sign-in links secure and give accurate contact information. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly tell us it has been compromised.

Your Book and family permissions

You retain ownership of material you create or upload. You give ForeverFond a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process, format and deliver that material only to operate and improve the service for you. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for recordings, messages, photographs and stories supplied by you, including material about other people. Do not upload content that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive or invasive of another person's privacy.

AI is an editor, not an authority

AI may transcribe, draft, polish, arrange and suggest. It can be wrong. Generated content stays draft or pending until a person reviews it; you remain responsible for checking names, facts, permissions and the final edition before sharing, exporting or printing. ForeverFond will not knowingly invent facts, change names or swap the teller's point of view, but automated systems cannot be warranted error-free.

Free creation and paid output

Writing, inviting family and building a Book are free. Payment gates only output. The Digital Book currently costs US $49 once per Book and includes final editorial polish, watermark-free high-resolution PDF export, future Edition re-exports and the unveiling page. Taxes, if any, are shown at checkout. There is no subscription and no charge per Story.

Hardcover status

The Heirloom planned price is US $119, with stated extra-copy prices. Hardcover ordering is not open until print proofs, fulfilment, support and reprint procedures pass their launch gate. A price shown before then is information, not an offer to accept an order.

Payment and refunds

Stripe processes payment details; ForeverFond does not store full card numbers. A paid Digital Book unlock applies to one Book. You may request a refund within 30 days by emailing hello@foreverfond.com. We may refuse or reduce a refund where law permits after substantial abusive use, but mandatory consumer rights always prevail.

Acceptable use

Do not break access controls, probe another family's Book, automate bulk generation, interfere with the service, upload malware, impersonate someone, use content without permission, or use ForeverFond to harass, exploit or simulate a deceased person. Reasonable-use controls may pause unusually automated activity while we investigate; they must not turn ordinary family collaboration into a paid creation wall.

Availability and changes

We work to keep family content available and backed up, but beta features may change and uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed. We will not materially reduce a paid Edition's export rights without a lawful remedy. Planned or emergency maintenance may temporarily interrupt access.

Ending use and deletion

You may stop using ForeverFond and ask us to delete your account or content. We may suspend access for serious security, legal or abuse risks and will use the least disruptive measure reasonably available. Deletion and backup propagation follow the Privacy Notice; payment, fraud and legal-claim records may be kept where law requires.

Responsibility and consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights. To the extent law permits, ForeverFond is not responsible for indirect or unforeseeable loss, family disputes arising from user-supplied content, or errors a user approved without reviewing. Because this is a private beta, any additional liability cap and governing-law term must wait for the verified operator identity rather than inventing a jurisdiction here.

Contact and changes

Email hello@foreverfond.com for support, refunds, legal notices or concerns. We will give reasonable notice of material changes and ask for renewed agreement where law requires it. If a term conflicts with mandatory law in your country, that mandatory law controls and the remaining terms continue where possible.
